FF XIII costs?

At lunch today my friends and I were having a discussion about our favorite Final Fantasy games (to which I of course replied Final Fantasy VII), during this conversation, however, we strayed to the topic of the upcoming Final Fantasy 13 title. As we discussed how amazing it looks, one of my friends told us he had read an article somewhere that the game was going to have a budget of close to one hundred million. Can anyone shed any light on this? Because it sounds a little far fetched to me.

sounds far fetched to me as well, nuless thats the entire project since they have copywritten 6 titles to the ffxiii name

Well it's because FFXIII is part of the compilation of Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis. It's going to be a long term project a bit like FF7. There will be several games and probably some on other platforms.

I'm not very good with numbers but it's going to cost a lot... Maybe not THAT much... But it will.

if you see it this way
PSX they make FFVII which realy good at that time and make the most selling CDs
PS2 they show FFX graphic is so good along with fun playing and charcters, and FFXII i dont realy like it , same goes for FFX-2 girls show lol.
PS3 FFXIII they have to make look good game, story, charcters and some of love seen, so the next FF ppl will think it will be as good as this one or better.

i do have orgenal CD for FFVII, FFX others only copy .. notes that copy cost like .... 5$
where was FFX cost me 70$ "i buy the orgenal coz this game are worth it to get it as orgenal"
so far planing of geting FFXIII orgenal i dont care how much it cost :P
