I have the game, and trust me, you DO NOT want to get FFX-2. Although it is freakin' hard and that it makes the storyline of the FFX series longer, it seems all to gay and wrong. But you can still buy it if you want to, nobody's opinion matters much in the long run.

Default Whether to Buy X-2 or Not

This question is old so I do not expect to actual be answering your, ZealousZell's, questions but I would like to combat Dissidia's Finest's comment.

To anyone who has thought about playing X-2, it all depends on how much you liked Final Fantasy X. If you have never played X then do not even bother. If you have played X and have thought about getting X-2. Only do it if you are a really, and I cannot say this enough, really like Final Fantasy X. If you actually spent more than an hour or two wandering if Tidus is alive or what then yes you should buy X-2 just to find out. That ebing said there is no other reason to buy the game. Gameplay is mediocore when compared to other, good, R.P.G.s of this kind. The story itself is actual bad aswell but major fans of X will want to see it.

Default The "Girl Power" in X-2

That is true and while that itself is not only what makes it a bad game it is on the list. As I said before, it is only worth playing if you spent an abnormal amount of time thinking about or were botherd by the ending of Final Fantasy X. To be honest I think a good portion of its short comings in story would have been better, at least made the game tolerable, if you could have had an actual war between New Yevon and the Youth League occur. It would have been far better than the "peace and love" rambling the story went with.

i would say the opposite of you sep if your a big fan of ffx dont get it because imo it kinda ruins the story for you. The game itself isnt bad just not a great FF. It destroys too much that was FFX and creates too many plot holes in its process. But as i say it is a decent game if your willing to ignore the story, I even got the 100% complete so cant say i hated it. And 1000 words is beautiful

Default X-2 Ruining X

Well since playing some of the olders Final Fantasys I have not really been a big fan of X for so many reasons but I do agree with you to an extant. I just think that if a person was/is a big fan of X they are going to eventually get X-2. Besides, most people who finished X thought that Tidus just disappearing was a really bad, more so sad, way to end it. That is the one thing that I thought X-2 did okay. You just have to be willing to play the game like an addict to get the 100% completion in order to see it.

i dont know anyone who liked X that thought Tidus dissapearing was bad, i think it was a good way to end it, something not of the norm. Its like saying in shrek, he should have turned into a human

Oh man, X-2 is definetly a guilty pleasure of mine. *lol* I disagreed with a lot of the story(Lulu and Wakka? REALLY?), but I loved the gameplay, and the leveling system. I also loved that you could have multiple endings. <3 That was great.
