The remake for Final Fantasy IX

Ok I found a site it was a thread from a interviewer I followed that to the people he was talking to and on that site it said that.
(This is not ecactly what they said.)

In the Tokyo game show 2007 Square Enix told Japanese video gameing magazine Famitsu that they were coming out with 27 or so games
11 of them remakes.

The interveiwer asked them if they planned on remakeing Final Fantasy 7 and they replied saying: A remake for FFVII is not a matter of if its a matter of when but right now we are cought up working on the FFXIII saga but we have plans for later to remake Final Fantasy VII as well as VIII and IX.

The magazine was Famitsu it is in japanese so I can not read it but if you can find a out how to translate it take a look and I found the thread by doing a search for "remake of Final fantasy 7,8 and 9" (I used Google.) if you still can not find it I am sorry but this was the best I could do.

So this means we will get to see Zadiane and his monkey tail in full 3D images and my be they will talk?

I personally can't wait for the day. Final Fantasy IX's graphics were already pure brilliance as far as the Playstation goes but it's deffinatly one title that could only benefit from having that little extra umph modern computing technology can give.

Neither can I! I loved this game the first time around and would love seeing it in awesome graphics, the characters having voices and us being unable to name the characters would be interesting too x3 (I want this remake to actually happen! Come one Square Enix! x3)

I would really like for Square Enix to remake the Final Fantasy's too, but if the did do it with voice overs I doubt they would still let you name the characters. It would be like VII, you can name them in the original game, but in the movie and spin-offs they would used the generic names.

I can definitely see them re-making FFIX at some point in the future, as well as FFVII and VIII. But the first on thier list is VII, this is a quote from Square Enix President and CEO Yoichi Wada.

"Right now we don't have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII. We're going to explore the possibility – whether or not we're going to do it, if we're going to do it, and the platform."

im a firm believer that any and all remakes and all future final fantasy games should be playstation exclusive. with the exception of MMOs

IX wont be done for such a long time kitase said recentally that they would do VII if they had enough man power as the project would take such a long time and they need to get it right, so VIII and IX is just dreaming at this point. As Kitase says be thankful for the PSN for now

This was the first one I ever played. I would like to see it and 7 and 8 remade. That would be really cool to have new additions to my collection and to bring in HD graphics :D

its sad how nowdays most games drop the awesome storyline and in depth character development that makes you believe you are a part of the story for good graphics and characters you would like to see die repeatedly just for the hell of it.
