FF IX Kuja Female?...

I've heard from several places that in the original Japanese version of FFIX Kuja was indeed Female, however, American and European censors changed it's gender to male because they were homophobic over Kujas lust for Garnet - the whole "Canary" thing.

What do you guys think? do you have any sources to back you up?

His character model and his expression really resemble a female.My friend also said to he that he is a she

I haven't really heard of Kuja being a female in Japanese either, but it's likely that he COULD be since the American government is very particular about that kinda stuff (morons, it's life, get over it -.-). But we can confirm he was a male in the American version at least, cuz Zidane and other character refer to Kuja as "he" and other male pronouns.

He's not female, he's just a big prettyboy. But also, character wise I think he's one of the most developed villains and one of the best characters in a Final Fantasy game ever, and I think he's actually pretty badass overall. So what if he looks sort of like a girl.

This topic comes up so often in a lot of Final Fantasy games. The Japanese can be a very feminine looking people in the eyes of americans because of their soft features and face structure.

i always wondered if he was a female or not it really hard to tell sometimes though because he looks like one but everyone in the game does say he You could always ask the developer lol if you could ever get ahold of them

Or you could read every single piece of information about Kuja on the internet and from Square and realise that it refers to Kuja as "him".
