ok so laguna is squalls dad .... right? otherwise why would squall be able to go back in time and become laguna.... am i a fool for thinking im the only person thats figured this out ? .... also rinoa is ultimecia ... right?? im confused about that too

Laguna is Squall's father and Raine is his mother. Ellone used her power to send people's consciousness into the past on Squall. Her plan was to change the past so that Laguna wouldn't abandon Raine. The reason Squall saw Laguna's life is hinged solely on Elone's power, however. This is all explicitly said in the game so it isn't a theory.
The idea that Rinoa is Ultimecia is speculation, however, and one that I believe Square eventually came out and said wasn't true. It is very imaginative and would have added, in my opinion, a very neat twist to the story of the game, but ultimately...it is incorrect.

right because i rememeber at the end ...(played it about 2 yrs ago for the 3rd time so im a bit fuzzy) raine wanted laguna to come back and meet there new baby so that was squall thats why i asked because they explain it but they dont actually say it .. ok yeah well glad thats cleared up about rinoa but i agree it would have been a great twist if it was true! oh well thanks for that

ya alot of those sort of things end up just ebign thought up by fans, not by the creators themselves, like the zelda timeline, although now they incorporate it, it was noway thought of originally when the devs started creating the game
