Forgetting to draw the GFs

Who has done this on their first playthrough, or any other time for that matter?

This is related to the GF's that you draw from main storyline/optional bosses and thus can miss and can never go back to get. The first time I played the game through I missed Siren in the battle with Elvoret during the pre-SeeD exam. Once my friend told me about having to draw them I restarted the game and lost like 7 hours of game time. Even though I knew about it then I still missed pandemona and carbuncle in my then second playthrough.

Once I finished I decided to start again simply to get all the GF's and still missed pandemona but I hadn't saved beforehand so I had to start the game all over again! It hurts to be a completionist.

So who else has managed to forget to draw GF's from the bosses, or didn't know they could until much later in the game?

i forgot siren too but i got her in ultimecia castle as u can get some others that u miss the only problem is the level, but as siren i didn't cared much about it :P

i dont think you can ever miss any cause you can draw the ones that are not from optional bosses in ultimecias castle, and no i didnt miss any cause i made sure i didnt, cause i was anal and read the SeeD manual from the computer it mentions somethign about them being drawn from hard creatures or something

Originally FF8 was my brother's game and he bought the strategy guide so I figured out that, and yet even with it I still missed some like Pandemonem. I replayed the game a few times cause I wanted Diablo cause he comes early in the game, the first time I got him he was really week cause I wanted to level up first.

I stopped caring after I got Odin, he was all I needed. I did in fact get him after the event in which he can be killed, which I was happy about.

Yeah, Gilgamesh was a definate help in the end. I think my favorite is Cactuar though.

odin being killed by seifer i still dont get, Odin is hardcore and seifer is well not lol

does it matter, now you have a GF that's even more badass than Odin, and he kills Seifer much more easily now.

See this is the one thing I didn't miss. I made a point my first time through to get this little gems. It always helps to save as close to a boss as you can in case you forget or miss a chance to draw it.

I always draw 100 of each magic so you get used to drawing pretty fast. So you won't forget it very easily. After a awhile you can draw with your eyes closed because of the muscle memory. It's pretty funny when that happens actually. I once played tekken 3 so much that I did most of the long combos without even thinking about it :D Too bad that you forget it pretty fast too.
