Default FF VIII Where di you train to level up?

Obviously at some point you realized...*ok, I'm going to be owned if I don't level up...* So where would you go to level up quickly?

Personally I preferred the second disk, there's this mountain side with a monster called vegsa, or vesage or something like that. One head and two hands sticking out, I actually managed to level my character's to level 100, before reaching disk three, where it was just total dominance.

I went to level up at a place near Shumi Village. There is a snow lion who has a lot of hp (weak to fire). I get tons of exp from defeating it. And at the end of Disk 2, my Squall is already Lv90!!

You're right. On Disc 1 or until you leave the garden forever, go to the training grounds and try to find that t-rex. A bit toughie for those on lvl 30 or less. When u get the Ragnarok, there's a great deal of places to go. A challenge imo is Doomtrain's sidequest which requires Marlboro tentacles. That beast is challenging in that it goes FIRST everytime. The it uses Funny Breath (all types of nasty stats) and guaranteed, 3 things will happen: A/ your characters die from the stats (poison, confused, blind, silenced, berserk). B/ they kill each other (that bastard gets a kick from it as we slash ourselves 9999 silly) C/ RUN.

For leveling up, make sure you already have Tonberry (make sure you got the LV UP ability junctioned) and go anywhere (is great if on a place with weak monsters). Face the monster (like those innocent floating fish) and use the LV UP ability. Have fun killing a 15000+HP floating fish LOLZ

On a side note, I faced once the Visage (lefy, righty, head) and I killed the head. I was about to kill Lefty and it casted Ultima, killing Squall and Zell (I think), then Righty crushed the last one, poor Rinoa...

i thought id state first off its bad breath not funny breath XD

and also ya trex is good, but actually really really easy if you just junction sleep to attack since its very reliable, if your low lvls itll just take a damn long time cause it has alot of hp's
