Default Vincent Valentine in Dirge of Cerberus

Is this a topic about Vincent or Dirge of Cerberus? It is in the D.o.C. section so I am assuming it is that one. You have chosen a very bad title for this topic then.

As for the subject itself. I am a minor fan of D.o.C. and partially a fan of Vincent, but I can give you at least a dozen reasons why people would dis-like Dirge of Cerberus.

1) Un-creative game play mechanics.
2) Excessive cut scenes.
3) The story often ignores the main character.
4) Poor aiming mechanics.
5) The fact the game was to easy.
6) The fact the main characters of the game were either only side characters (like Reeve) or optional characters (like Vincent & Yuffie) from the original game.
7) The lack of customization in weapons and in the player character.
8) The clear lack of any of the other main characters from Final Fantasy VII.
9) An opinion in Square Enix that they only made the game to cash in on the Final Fantasy VII brand name.
10) A lack of non-storyline content, meaning how few side-quests.
11) A bad in game camera system.
12) The fact it can only be played in Third Person and not as a First Person Shooter.

I just listed them as they came into mind. Now, I am a fan, meaning I liked the game, and I still came up with this many and I still have more. I liked the game and everything, but I am not delusional enough to think as a stand alone game, meaning if it were not apart of the Final Fantasy VII series, it would be any good.

I do have to agree with you on the last part. If it weren't a Final Fantasy, I wouldn't like it. But I feel that it's a good game and I enjoy playing it. Which is interesting, because I liked it long before I even played FF7...

Interesting. You say you played Dirge of Cerberus before actually playing Final Fantasy VII. I cannot see why you would have liked the game then. The story would have been incomprehensible and the characters un-explored. The entire game would have to have been hinged on its game play and that is Dirge of Cerberus's major weak point. Interesting.

I would not say that. I for one also liked Dirge of Cerberus. I just do not think I would have originally liked it had I not played Final Fantasy VII first. I also still recognize the games many flaws, but I do still like it.

Some ppl say that FF VII Dirge of Cerberus is bad. But I still think that it's part of Final Fantasy, so I tried to enjoy the game. The story isn't that bad, I really like it.
