How did they get money?

in ff7 barret the leader of avalanche the revoltionairy rebel group has money. how? where he get money to pay cloud and stuff?

I'd say, as a pseudo-terrorist/mercenary group, they probably get money from the 'jobs' they pull off, as well as donations from supporters and outside work, similar to other groups of their kind.

I think that they probably just level their materia on missions then sell them later. That is why they were mad when Kadaj and his gang stole them.
