Neither did I. I will admit, unless you are actually really paying attention some of the things in Final Fantasy VII are difficult to understand, but not in Advent Children. The story explains its self very well. That is not to say I would give the writers an award for it, I have seen better, but it was not difficult to understand.

I get it now, having watched it several times. It's just that a lot of it takes from the game, and I hadn't played it all the way through at the time.

I can actually sympathize with you on this one then.

I was first introduced to the Final Fantasy series with X and then, shortly after finishing X, I got Advent Children. (Note: this was before I ever played Final Fantasy VII) I watched the movie and completely hated it. I thought the story made no sense and the characters were un-interesting. Then I played, and beat, Final Fantasy VII before re-watching the movie and it all came together.

Similar circumstances, you simply miss-introduced your statement before.

i was introduced to final fantasy by pplaying X then went on to play VIII then VII by then i wasnt so sure about it ...but its still my second fave
