Default Final Fantasy VI - The Best Looking FF

I've always considered Final Fantasy VI to be a piece of art, consider how much effort has clearly gone into the creation of the sprites and backgrounds. Every little bit of scenery looks like a masterpiece, and it's resulted in such an absolutely awesome look. Also the usage of the Mode 7 style graphics on the world map to simulate a more 3D view was revolutionary at the time for a Final Fantasy game.

I've always loved starting VI again, because of the effort that's gone into creating the first few scenes. Final Fantasy VI pushed the SNES' capabilities to the limit, they made use of every little bit of space and made sure every tile was perfect. And today it shows, playing through VI again feels like a timeless, classic experience.

I agree, for that time ff6 whas unique and perfect. Now ff games have waybetter grafhics tho compared to the story line ff 6 is unbeatable. FF 10-2 comes close IMO tho 6 wins by an inch.

I think there's only so much that graphics can do, FFVI is truly beautiful, and for me it looks even better than the newer final fantasies. As I said graphics can only achieve so much, but true art is timeless. Considering what they had to work with they made a perfect game with VI.

ya im aggreeing with everyone on this one, ff6 looked great back then, but give it to a youth of today they would say wtf is that.
to be truly inspired art and timeless younger generations would have to agree to prove its timelessness. like 7 at the time everyone was 0.0 now it is outdated and poor

The graphics in FF6 were great ages ago, compared to other Final Fantasies now the graphics are bad, but i think that aside from graphics, FF6 has the best storyline out of all the FF's

Perhaps because I grew up with the SNES, I think FF6 has beautiful graphics, especially considering how limited the technology was... It's really a nice piece of art and it's timeless. Plus, Amano>Nomura, imo.

Early 3D became outdated very fast and I prefer 2D over it. When I first played FF7 I was surprised and thought "that looks so crappy"!

So in a way I agree FFVI was very good looking. I wouldn't say the prettiest FF but it is very nice.
