FFIV toughest enemy's

Which enemies do you think are the worst?
It can be from any point in the game, such as "hardest for my level at the time". This can also include bosses.
Personally, I think that mine would be Wagner, which my brother and I fought before knowing that you had to cast wall
That took awhile...

Probably that eyeboss that gives death timer on all your chars that pretty danm cheap if ya ask me.

i found asura pretty difficult... mainly because she healed and did a physical attack.

i also accidentally cast haste on her aswell :S

oh and dark knight (when cecil just becomes a paladin) it took ages to kill him!

i think i forgot something but when the girl who can some comes back the last boss that i never beat was a giant wall....how lame i get killed by a wall.

I had several of these (and I'm not even finished with the game yet)

Mom Bomb, I tried EVERYTHING to avoid getting killed by that explosion, turned out simply defending somehow did better then Rosa's Protect spell -.-

Dark Knight, how comes noone says you can just simply defend and the battle ends?! That's lame

sorry by posting after such a time, but I want to say that now I'm playing it on NDS and I can't defeat Cagnazzo, any tricks for this boss? :P

And for Dark Knight, you can finish the battle by only defending, it's not lame. I did it myself lol

I remember that boss fight with the four fiends in the Tower of Babil being hard. I'd usually always die when it got to Valvalis, the last one. I'd already be weak and/or Rosa would be low on MP to heal, and her wind moves that target everyone would take me out in like 2 or 3 turns. This was on the PSX remake of FFIV which is pretty much a direct remake of FFIV hard version. Haven't played the DS version, maybe it's easier there. It was one bitch of a fight on the old one unless you leveled enough.

I have the DS version of this too so lemme see if I can help ya a bit =P

Basically (and this is what I did but if you've got your own you can go ahead and use that too =P) have Palom and Porom spam Twin Magic (use Ether's as needed) or have Palom use his best Thunder Magic and Porom heal. Cecil should (and this is a role he should have for the rest of the game with the exception of a few boss battles) attack physically and be Porom's backup healer. Tellah should spam Thundaga (only heal with him if ABSOLUTELY neccessary), and Yang should use Focus maybe 2-3 times then attack over and over. Now if Cagnazzo makes a little wave around him, be SURE to cast Thunder magic on him first (if I remember, that cancels the attack) anything else will cause him to use some powerful wave attack. Another thing that helps (and this goes for all other bosses in the game if it effects them) is to cast Slow on him and Haste on your party (if you have these spells.) The fight takes a little time but he'll eventually go down like this. Being in the high twenties (26 or so) or higher is a good idea too.
