FFIV random encounters.

Guys ever notice how the enemies you encounter while walking are a programmed number, and not really pure random?

If you save the game and walk somewhere (and encounter enemies) and turn off the game - If you walk the same way, you will encounter the same enemies in the same order.

Yeah, I noticed that but its probably different for every file or something, I doubt everyone can say their first battle was there goblins or whatnot.

my first battle was gobs and i had not noticed the programed battles.

got an easy solution to this both of you start a new game and count the # of of monsters in first encounter, than that'll prove whats what. If you've got the rom this should be no trouble since you can pretty much skip all the crud at the beggining.

you guys shoudl get emulators... so much better.

but yeah definately programmed.
