Default me and FFIII don't get along.

Okay i know i'm a final fantasy fan and this is bad of me, but i can't be bovered with this game. The battles are too hard! seriously! Let me tell you my story. er...long story. but i'll make it a little shorter.

I went sainsburys with my mum and i was bored. I walked into the games section because i hate food shopping and my mum can't decide
which meat to get lol. So i walked over there and thought 'WoW! Its final fantasy 3 on ds! OMG!' So i grabbed one of them and ran to my mum. But then i couldn't find her, so i had to ring her in the shop and then found her in the dairy section lol. I begged her for it and she said to buy it myself, but i was broke. So after i pleaded and begged and she got it for me.

Later that evening i played on my ds. I found fighting the monsters all the time annoying and it took me like forever to get to the giant turtle. When i got there it killed me and i was like noooooooooooooooooooo!

The next day i played again and i died again! I kept playing but then i got bored.

A week later it was our school trip to france. I sat next to my mate and played the game. And guess what?! We defeated the giant turtle! She said the people were small and i was like i know. ( The people really are small lolz) So we walked around the village and things but we couldn't find the people who were having the fight. And then... i got killed by a werewolf and now i can't be bovered to play the game.

I think all the battles are annoying and that made me bored. I also think failing all the time at the beginning is embarrassing. So yeah...

wow you bought it in sainsburys?? i love that shop but we dont live anywhere near one...

anyways, yeah, you're right, the battles in the game do ,actually, go on quite a bit, and they are real difficult, but then again it's sort of like all the older (remakes) of final fantasy. you have to just be lucky or extremely unbeatedly clever to find the games easy.

and btw darlin', it took me 4 months to complete the game it was so difficult lol (:

Maybe that's why it took so long to come to the states....?

Possibly lol

That or Square just decided to take their time, then again, completely changing a game around and then translating it takes a LOT of time (I've seen people who makes patches for things, takes them a very long amount of time to finish x.x)

Default I have one...two problems

this pertains to both FF III & IV, God oh GOD, why did they have to make everybody(even the adults look like F'ing children !!!

this next is more towards all FF's some more than others, I love a good story, any great RPG hast to have one, but you don't have to have a 45+ min set of cut scenes before you get to play, or you play for a little then after the first or second mission, it goes to a cut scene that scrolls the title & credits for 10+ mins, I know what I'm playing, I like cut scenes but god, keep it simple & to the point, do have one every 5 min. (Dirge) or lasting an hour (X-2), I really hate it when they won't at least let you F'ing skip the stuff(IX) thjat's kool, anyway, enough of my whining

There are magic words that can solve your problem: LEVEL GRIND. XD

You need to spend a lot of time levelling up in this game otherwise you'll be underpowered and you won't be able to defeat the monsters.

This is the thing I do: Roam on world map near a town where monsters give quite a lot of experience, fight till you level up, get into town, sleep at inn then save. Repeat till you're much stronger than the monsters. If you go to a dungeon and can't defeat the regular monsters easily, you need to level up more. Otherwise you won't be able to beat the boss.

Oh and if someone falls in battle, DO NOT USE A PHOENIX DOWN!!! They're rare and you can't buy them at shops so keep them. You can revive people in the sanctuaries... Just check out the fountains. (This is a mistake I made first time I played and I didn't have much phoenix downs left.)

It's harder than the newer games but you'll feel so satisfied when you beat it. After that you'll think other Final Fantasies are piece of cake! ^_^
